Former President George W. Bush has become known in his post-White House life as limiting his political involvement and keeping his criticism of public figures to a minimum.

But according to reports, the rare exceptions included a fundraising event for brother Jeb Bush in Denver over the weekend.

Politico reveals that Bush-43 declared Sen. Ted Cruz to be a “formidable candidate against Jeb, especially in Texas and across the South.”

Opining that he believes Cruz is “doing it all for his own personal gain,” Bush stated pointedly “I just don’t like the guy.”

Jeb continues to underperform among the strong GOP field only raising $11 million in the third quarter despite his “shock and awe” fundraising of over $100 million in the first quarter.

Having fallen back to sixth place in most national polls, political analysts are beginning to speculate that he may not make it past the early primaries.
