President Trump warned evangelical leaders at the White House that the left may resort to violence if Democrats win the midterm elections. He said liberals may “violently” overturn his accomplishments made for the Christian community.
“This Nov. 6 election is very much a referendum on not only me, it’s a referendum on your religion, it’s a referendum on free speech and the First Amendment,” Trump said.
Trump also said there was an “unbelievable” amount of hatred “for you and for me and for my family.” He said if Republicans lose then the left “will overturn everything that we’ve done and they’ll do it quickly and violently, and violently.”
“There’s violence. When you look at Antifa and you look at some of these groups — these are violent people,” he added.
Trump touted his work with prison reform and religious freedom along with economic gains during his speech. He spoke about the death of Sen. John McCain and the shooting in Jacksonville, Florida.
