A former Department of Homeland Security official has come forward claiming that the Obama administration killed a key program that could have prevented the San Bernardino attack.
Philip Haney, a founding member of the DHS, served as an intelligence official whose program specifically focused on researching backgrounds and associations of individuals and mosques in California.
Among the many mosque they investigation was the mosque to which Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik attended.
But, as Haney details, his program was killed by the Obama administration because it targeted specifically Muslim people.
Haney explained in a recent interview with Fox News that had the plug not been pulled on his group they would have continued to investigate the mosque and put everyone associated with it, including Farook, on the no-fly list.
That singular move would have prevented Farook from traveling to and from Saudi Arabia to bring his Islamist wife back to the U.S.
