The New York attorney general has decided to basically transform his office into a defense bunker to house the resistance efforts against President Trump. The attorney just filed 100 acts of legal or administrative actions against the Trump administration this year, reports The Daily Caller.
Eric Schneiderman’s legal team has decided to sue the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over their decision to rollback net neutrality regulations set up during the Obama administration.
But those 100 actions are not all about net neutrality. No, they also wish to challenge the successive version of the travel ban in court and filed innumerable amicus briefs and formal letters challenging the perceived gutting of consumer finance protections and civil rights.
“We try and protect New Yorkers from those who would do them harm,” Schneiderman told The New York Times in a recent interview. “The biggest threat to New Yorkers right now is the federal government, so we’re responding to it.”
While other state attorney generals have taken to challenging Trump in court, none have done it with the aggressiveness that Schneiderman has done. He has taken a particularly hard stance, bolstering his political capital in a virtually completely anti-Trump state.
These two’s feud goes way back, to when Schneiderman spearheaded the investigation into fraudulent practices at Trump University in 2014.
Since then, Trump has referred to the attorney general as a “total lightweight,” a “total loser” and “the nation’s worst AG.” Trump has also suggested Schneiderman should submit to a drug test because the AG “cannot be a cokehead.” Trump had reached a settlement in the Trump university case in 2016.

Schneiderman’s office has maintained a crazy amount of legal fights against Trump and at a rapid pace, challenging the president at every turn. Most recently New York joined 14 other states in suing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “for failing to meet the Clean Air Act’s statutory deadline” on air pollutant levels.
This attorney’s office was also the one responsible for suing the administration for refusing to pay for a 17-year-old illegal immigrant’s abortion.
One thing is clear though, that Schneiderman and his army of political activists and PC warriors show no signs of stopping their ridiculous and futile fight against the president.
