It’s no secret that Megyn Kelly’s entrance into Morning television has been rocky and awkward, to say the least. But now even the people who are working with her at NBC, like Matt Lauer, are not coming to her aid, according to Page Six.

Matt Lauer was heard saying that he “get’s it” why celebrities and guests are avoiding the show like the black plague, after seeing the awkward moments between famous stars like Debra Messing and Jane Fonda, and seeing ratings drop before their eyes.

“It’s a big problem for them,” Lauer continued to say, “them” meaning Kelly’s show.

Messing has since said that she “regretted” appearing on the show after Kelly told a “superfan” of the show Will & Grace, that he should stick “with the whole gay thing.”

Another reason Hollywood celebrities and big names are going anywhere but NBC is because Kelly is desperately struggling to hang on to whatever viewers she can get. Page Six recently reported that her numbers are nearly at an all-time low for the famed NBC morning show and she continues to dray down “Kathie Lee & Hoda.”

“This week was the lowest Kathie and Hoda have rated since 2010,” said a source. “It keeps getting worse. Megyn is killing them. It is a real problem and no one wants to book Megyn’s show,” the insider said. Another source added, “They can keep telling you about all the lunches they’re taking her to, but it’s not helping the ratings.”

A representative from the “Today” show tried to downplay the disaster saying, “Sounds like a few troublemakers are trying to stir up drama where there just isn’t any. Everyone’s doing just fine at the ‘Today’ show.”

NBC is trying everything they’ve got to push the false narrative that the “Today” show is doing alright and even prospering when that is not what the numbers say.

NBC crowed this week that “Today” “was the No. 1 morning show outright, topping ‘Good Morning America’ in total viewers and all demos last Monday.”

One thing is for certain, if Kelly’s own co-hosts and fellow NBC anchors don’t see anything hope for her NBC show, then it seems like Kelly’s future is already determined.
