Representative and candidate to become the next Speaker of The House Jim Jordan (R-OH) recently appeared on Fox News to discuss President Trump’s decision to revoke the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan. Needless to say, he’s happy that Brennan lost his clearance. And what’s more, he thinks this should be just the beginning.
If Jordan gets his way, there will be more people to lose their security clearances. Jordan said, “I agree with the President and what he did. I think there’s a lot more people who frankly deserve the same treatment.”
Here is the whole transcript:
“Here is what I also know. Brennan leaked information to Harry Reid, lost his clearance. James Clapper lied under oath in the Intel Committee in the Senate. James Comey has been fired for leaking information and all kinds of other things. Andy McCabe lied three times under oath and has been fired. Sally Yates, fired. Peter Strzok demoted and then fired. Lisa Page demoted, then left the FBI. Jim Baker, chief counsel at the FBI, demoted and then left. I think all those people, frankly, should lose their clearance. Particularly when you have that kind of history where you’ve been fired, demoted, leaking information, why should you have a clearance? I agree with the President and what he did. I think there’s a lot more people who frankly deserve the same treatment.”
