Shintaro Ishihara

Former governor of Tokyo, Shintaro Ishihara claimed that President Obama ordered the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate him. He made the off-the-wall comments while lobbying for the assassination of North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un:

“Why doesn’t America just assassinate Kim Jong-un already?” Ishihara asked. “I mean, they killed Gaddafi and Bin laden … Assassinations are their specialty.”

“When Tokyo was trying to purchase the Senkaku Islands,” he explained, “Obama told the CIA, ‘Use Chinese people in Japan and kill Ishihara by making it look like a traffic accident.’”

Ishihara was governor of Tokyo from 1999 to 2012. He gave a shocking speech in 2012 where he said Japan wanted to buy the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands. These islands are in dispute as China says they own them but Japan administers them.

Ishihara is 84-yeas-old and is known for making outlandish comments. He has been lobbying for the U.S. to strike North Korea with nuclear weapons.

He offered no evidence as to why Obama wanted him assassinated.
