What do washed up NFL players who can’t shut their mouths and play the game they are paid millions of dollars to play do once they can’t get anyone to sign them to a team? They get a book deal why of course.
Page Six reports that Colin Kaepernick has just been offered a book deal that is worth just over $1 million with Random House imprint One World.
It isn’t much of a surprise though that this company, One World, would want to publish a book by Kaepernick because they have also published things by Jay-Z and Ta-Nehisi Coates, all very liberal and like to talk about race issues in America.
One World was created by Chris Jackson, who is a Broadway actor, most known for his recent role as George Washington in Hamilton on Broadway.
Kaepernick would be a good fit alongside these other social justice warriors since Kaepernick was responsible for launching the current movement of NFL players kneeling in protest during the playing of the national anthem. He has recently filed a controversial collusion grievance against the league’s owners.
He still hasn’t been able to find a job after being let go from the San Francisco 49ers, so I guess writing a book is the logical next step for an ex-NFL player:
“Page Six previously reported that Kaepernick had been seen ‘taking meetings with publishers in the New York offices of WME’ to shop the planned book. He’s repped as an athlete by agent Carlos Fleming, and the book deal, we hear, went through Andy McNicol on the Hollywood agency lit department.”
Nothing yet has been said about what the book will be about and One World has not released anything yet. But one thing is for sure, that this book will be filled with a bunch of leftist propaganda, and I mean, how well could an ex-NFL player be at writing a book.
