Senate Democrats continue their coordinated attacks on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. And now it has reached clownish levels. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) thought that he has Kavanaugh nailed when, in an arrogant display of grandstanding, he claimed to have a “Spartacus Moment” by claiming he knowingly broke Senate rules in order to expose a few emails.

The emails in question turned out to be pretty favorable to Kavanaugh as they showed he opposed racial profiling. But the stunt was about more than that. Booker, rumored to be examining a White House run himself, tried to make himself out to be a crusader against unjust laws. But even left-wing outlets like CNN question whether he actually broke any rules at all.

But now we know this political stunt was meant to be the basis for a fundraising appeal. At the exact same the moment of Booker’s “Spartacus Moment,” he shot out a fundraising email.

President Trump’s Deputy Press Secretary tweeted this out:

“I will be questioning Judge Kavanaugh at length in this week’s Judiciary Committee hearing to shed more light on his views and record,” Booker wrote in his fundraising appeal for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee.

This stunt was part of a coordinated effort of disruptions planned by the Democrats. And now they’re trying to raise money off of it:

Here’s a clip of Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) admitting protests were coordinated by Democrats:

But I suppose they might as well. They’re not going to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Might as well make a buck or two off of it while they can.
