Recently, CNN’s Chris Cuomo took some heat for praising Antifa and making excuses for their violent behavior. And when he was called out for it on live TV, he had an epic on-air tantrum.

Cuomo said at the time, “But I argue to you tonight, all punches are not equal morally. Now, how you fight matters too. There’s no question about that. But drawing a moral equivalency between those espousing hate and those fighting it because they both resort to violence emboldens hate, legitimizes hateful belief and elevates what should be stamped out…The bigots are wrong to hit. Antifa, or whomever, anarchists or malcontent or misguided, they are also wrong to hit. But fighting hate is right. And in a clash between hate and those who oppose it, those who oppose it are on the side of right,.”

Well apparently he did not getting called out on his own show for those remarks. Mediaite documents a recent exchange, which you can see in the video above, between Cuomo and Trump adviser Steve Cortes. Here is the rundown:

Then, as things got heated Cortes accused Cuomo on equivocating on Antifa.

“I never equivocated on anything,” a clearly annoyed Cuomo replied. “You let your righty mouthpieces twist my words for effect to enhance a bigoted agenda. And now you’re going to sell it.”

He continued on, voice raised: “It’s a mistake on this show. I said very clearly and people can check my words, ‘you break the law you’re a criminal and a thug.’ I said I don’t create a moral equation between those who preach hate and those who fight it because not all punches are equal. And I stand by that. But I never endorsed Antifa. Don’t sell B.S. to my face. Do it behind my back where you’re better at it.”

The conversation then devolved into crosstalk.

Cuomo, though, wasn’t done and took another dig at where Cortes gets his info.

“Your wave of — listen, this is my point, Steve,” Cuomo shot back. “You know if you looked at the words, which unfortunately we both know you didn’t. You read your little buddies at Breitbart and the little niche places that you say need to have more time on Google. And you came up with Cuomo didn’t beat down Antifa enough. Untrue. I said if you break the law you’re a criminal. It’s not good enough for you guys. You know why? You want to divide. And I’m wondering if it will work for you.”

And let’s not forget that Cuomo once compared ANTIFA to American soldiers who stormed the beaches at Normandy:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have no idea how this guy is on television. He’s a complete disgrace and gets terrible ratings. So what’s the upside? Do the leftists at CNN just keep him on because he’s a giant middle finger to conservatives everywhere? I guess that’s all it takes to get a show on CNN these days.
